How 2 install CWM recovery on your Galaxy S4

Step 1 : Download both CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5 and ODIN3, and extract the files to the computer.

Step 2 : Now Power off the handset and put it in Download mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together. After a warning screen appears, press the Volume Up button to enter Download mode.

Step 3 : Run Odin3 v3.09.exe as an Administrator while the phone is Download mode .

Step 4 : Connect  Galaxy S4 to the PC via USB cable. If connected successfully, a message showing “Added!!” will appear in Odin’s message box.

Step 4: Now, click on the AP button, and select the CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5 that was extracted in Step 1.

Step 5: In Odin, check the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options.

Step 6: Click Start and the root process should start showing you a process bar in the first box above ID:COM.

Step 7:The process is quite fast and will finish in a few seconds, as soon as it ends your device will get rebooted now, unplug it from the computer.

Congratulations you have your installed CWM recovery on your device now. To boot into CWM recovery, restart your phone while holding the Volume Up key, you should now see the CWM recovery.


How 2 install Root your Galaxy S4

Step1 : Place the SuperSu.zip file on your phone’s sd card & Boot into the CWM Recovery.

Step 2 : In CWM recovery select “Install Zip > Choose Zip from Sd Card” and select the SuperSu zip file and in the next step select “yes”.

It will take a while to flash SuperSu and you’ve rooted your device now.
Reboot and find the SuperSu installed in app drawer.
